Speak First - Communication Training - Negotiation Skills
Translated, building strong relationships will not only help you with business development and sales, but will help you in all areas of your personal life. The single biggest factor in strengthening your relationships is understanding the other’s viewpoint.
- never assume you know, instead ask why
- turn a misunderstanding into a clarification
- move anger into the realm of analysis to find what you may be missing
This 2009 reach out to more people than ever before, keep a positive mindset and find ways to help each other. You will prove the headlines wrong and be on to a continual Smooth Sale!
To my surprise people think they are providing their customers with excellent proposals but the truth of the matter is they are instead turning prospects away. Here aer a few errors I have witnessed:
1. No acknowledgement of prospect’s budget.
2. Assumptions made without verification.
3. Proposals are incomplete leaving room for add-ins on the supplier side but assumed included on the buyer side.
By putting your prospect’s needs first, finding out their budget up front, what is important to them and what is a must versus a wish, and providing choices, you will stand a much better chance of securing the sale. You will also be headed for a Smooth Sale!
